Acer Developing A Frameless Laptop With a Touchscreen Keyboard

Endgadget Reports that Acer is developing a touch keyboard frameless laptop.  Originally reported by DigiTimes, the laptop will feature a touchscreen keyboard and Cornings reinforced glass substrate that functions as the cover when the unit is closed.  The design helps reduce the thickness and costs of materials.  The laptop supposedly will launch in the second half of 2010.

RedEye Mini Turns Your Iphone, Ipod Touch or Ipad into IR Universal Remote

Finally an inexpensive plugin IR adapter for your Iphone/IpodTouch/Ipad is available from ThinkFlood.  Their original RedEye was both expensive and cumbersome, but the mini is a small single plugin 3.5mm adapter for a fraction of the cost.  $49 will get you the adapter that lets you control your TV, DVD player, Blu-ray Player, AV receiver or anything else that has IR capabilities and the RedEye App.  The app allows you to customize its interface and even allows soft macro buttons.  Looks like a winner.
